Chocolate Beans on Etsy

These needle felted treasures are the work of chocolatebeans, a husband wife team I found on etsy the other day. Billy and Xuan make these wonderful little characters with such personality they made me smile when I first saw them. I knew I just had to share them, and as a bonus their shop name has one of my favorite words ("beans") in it!!! I know I know. It was meant to be :) . What a coincidence right?! I hope these photos can bring a smile to your face as well and that you're having a great week. I know I am. ;)
*Feel free to stop on by their shop and let them know what a great job they're doing!!

This weekend has been so much fun! I went with a friend to a museum, went to the fabric store with my mom and have enjoyed all of it.
My bird print also was featured in my first treasury thanks to shkolnik!!! Also my tiny little 3x3 was put up on the 3x3 blog!!!:) I am grinning right now just thinking about it.
I feel so amazed just at the innate beauty and kindness so many other human beings possess. This weekend was contest to that, hence the title of this post.
The music below is by Madeline a very talented singer that a friend of mine introduced me to...

Hope your weekend is just as good as mine!!

A Foxy Frenzy

Foxes have been on my mind lately dancing around making me draw them and search for them on etsy. This is the result: lots of images and wishes to get all the foxy things I love. Oh drat! I wish I had more money to spend on all these things!

Not to mention listening to way too much Fleet Foxes.... Hope your having a great weekend! All I can say is thank goodness midterms are over!:)
P.S. Click the images to see where I found the items!

Memory/Sky

"Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose."
-Kevin Arnold
The quote above is my inspiration for this post! Today I was glancing through old photographs and discovered these sky photos I had taken a while back. What beauties! I was so surprised, I forgot I even had these...

PS: I made a blog badge/button! If you'd like to add it to your blog then scroll up and copy and paste the HTML! :) This is what it looks like:

Crochet Lace

Amazing...that is the one word to describe how I feel about this crochet lace japanese book I got while on the yarn crawl. I love every one of the patterns in it! The pictures are amazing and make all the lace go from granny to sophisticated.

The book was done by the very talented Yoko Hatta or Kazekobo, which I really admire for her stunning yet simple patterns. The diagrams seem to be easy to read and understand and I can't wait to pull out my crochet hook and begin! These are only some of the great patterns in the book.

The book's ISBN is ISBN4-529-04224-3.

I am so excited and I just can't hide it!

Yarn Crawl Fun

Last weekend my sister Kaitlyn, my mom, and I all piled into the car and drove through the Texas Hill Country for the 2009 Yarn Crawl. It was my first time going to it and I am so glad I did! It was a total blast. The company was the best anyone could wish for, and the ride was full of laughter and fun. I loved going to all the shops, and it was really interesting to see the ones I had never been to before. I got a free gift at each one of the shops we stopped at, and had my yarn crawl passport stamped. I really enjoyed this part of it because alot of the shops gave yarn and a patterns too! I love free gifts...Don't you? It was great. I got lots of yarn and goodies including two japanese craft books I have been wanting for some time, which I will show in another post. I am so excited!
The photos above were taken by my sister Kaitlyn.
