I made this crochet crocodile from the great kanlayanee on etsy during our trip. I love him so much! Although his teeth are rather large... he must be the dentist's best friend. I also made this flower from an old vogue knitting magazine.

This is the dock where we fished.
We had a wonderful time cooking out and making s'mores!! Such fun...
Cows grazing along the road.
The trip was a smash! We spent our time fishing, swimming, and sightseeing. The weather was scorching hot as it usually is in Texas, but it was bearable thanks to the cool water and air conditioner. I got to spend quality time with my family which was great. The afternoons were spent lazily reading or crocheting. All in all it was great fun!!

Yesterday, I baked yummy cookies called Melt Aways with my sister! They are sooo good... and really easy to make and they literally melt away in your mouth. See the recipe at the bottom!
Melt Aways Recipe
1/2 lb butter
3/4 cup cornstarch
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 cup flour
note: may want to double the batch
Beat butter. Add cornstarch, flour, sugar, and beat until creamy. Put wax paper on cookie sheet and drop cookies onto it (cookies are best when made bite sized). Bake 12 min. in 350 degrees oven. When cookies are cool, frost with icing.
3 oz cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup powdered sugar
Mix together creamcheese, vanilla, powdered sugar, and food coloring until creamy. Frost cookies, and serve.
