My birthday came and went this year. It was splendid really, so much love and thought went into all the gifts I received, and all the little details of my birthday celebration. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. I was even given a bouquet of flowers from my mom. :) I enjoyed them immensely for a week.
One day while out with my mom I bought this lovely little owl planter, that I filled with some trimmings of succulents. They are growing like crazy! Not only that, but I found this little wind up goose, that I have named Mathilda. I literally gasped when I saw it since I had been mooning over this one for some time and was pleased to find its female counterpart. I just got a new job. Hoping that everything runs smoothly for it.
May all your weeds be wildflowers. I just can't get enough of flowers! They brighten my day :)
The bluebonnets are almost entirely gone...I've enjoyed them immensely while they were here though. After class I spent more time cleaning and knitting. I also got to watch the Young Victoria with my family, and it was just as great the second time. I just love love stories.
I made these Chocolate Carmel tarts from the book Chocolate & Zucchini... and boy they were good, really good in a dense chocolatydeliciousness kind of way!
They sure didn't last long.
And I have been seeing lost of inspiring photos of people's feet and knew I wanted to try it too.
These are my favorite socks!
My mom just recently got a lemon tree.
I had no idea that these plants smell so good.
I have to keep sniffing and sniffing every time I walk by it.

My mom bought gave me these carnations which have been sitting on my bedside table for the past week and are just now dying. I love fresh flowers so much. They brighten my day just by looking at them. I know a lot of people who look down on these flowers as being boring but I love them :)
They are ruffled little beauties to me...
My bed seems happier with my tree pillow from Little T Jane :)
...until Schatzi decided to take a nap on it.
I recently bought a new little Japanese juniper bonsai, complete with a little elderly fisherman.
Sheila likes to snooze in this corner of my room. She looks so cute like this!
Here is a photo of my in table complete with flowers and all.
I have been listening to this song quite frequently lately. I really like to listen to Jason Aldean and actually went to go see him in concert last Rodeo. Enjoy!

All the rain we have had recently has made some really beautiful flowers and stange mushrooms pop up...all the grass is so green and looks so happy! School has been pretty crazy thus the pause in the posts, over the weekend we went to see the Terracotta Warriors in Houston which my sister made a really great post about here. I will try to catch up on all the things I have been up to soon! Hope everyone is having a utterly happy Tuesday. :)
Vaivanat on etsy has such beautiful vibrant felt creations. Her lovely pieces are wonderfully designed and have such little details added here and there. I love her work especially the flower corsages. Check out her work here on her etsy or go over to her blog.
