Illustrated Tumbler and Inspiring Blogs

I just finished this little drawing of an owl, hedgehog and mouse sipping some tea for a tumbler. All I can say is that I really love it!
I was on the search for the perfect quote about tea, and almost chose this one..
"You can never have a cup of tea big enough, or a book long enough to suit me..."C.S. Lewis
until, my mom kept saying this little ditty she made up, "Drink tea with me, the best is yet to be!". I loved it right away, and decided to swirl it around up at the top there.

I used colored pencils mainly and then pen for the quote.
I, of course, had to add some little mushrooms :).
Like the little thimble used as a cup?
Hee hee
Also I thought I would share some inspiring blogs I have been frequenting lately:

Beautiful textile art on Fiona Wilson
Really inspiring crochet home goods on Attic24 (how have I never seen this one before?)

Lovely illustrations on About Today, especially this post makes me want to have an illustrated travelogue
Some really great fashion+illustration+day to day goodness on Paper Sparrow

Also Carly (of A Girl and Her Blog) got a new blog called She Loves Libraries, be sure to check it out!

Hope your day is marvelous!

Daily Doodle

When classes bore me, I inevitably end up doodling on whatever piece of paper is near. Here is one I did last semester in my anthropology class. I am considering whether or not to color him in... what do you think?

Happy Tuesday!
