Thank goodness finals are done!!! :)

Yesterday I went out to eat with a great friend of mine, sewed like crazy, watched Anne of Avonlea with my sister Kaitlyn, mailed packages, and cooked up some peanut butter and chocolate squares. It was such a relaxing and leisurely day, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I have so much crafty goodness in store that I can't wait; not to mention making some handmade Christmas gifts for my family.

Also on Monday I had my second sale! I'm so proud... :D I was so pleased to be sending off one of my little ornaments. Don't forget to enter the giveaway as mentioned on this post here. I am looking forward to Christmas so much this year. Hope everyone's having a swell Friday!

Well, it has been a while since Rhianne from For the Easily Distracted gave me this award but now that I have finished with finals today, I finally have time to do a decent post about it :). First off I would like to thank Rhianne once again for giving me this award as well as for writing such sweet words about my gingerbread men. She was so sweet and lovely just like her blog is. Etsy Update and Many Thanks!!

I finally finished some more of my ornaments!! I just uploaded them to the shop. I have been so busy this past week and have finals next week so I have dreaming about everything I will finally be able to do once school is done.

Also I would like to thank looksSEWnice on etsy for featuring my candy canes in one of her treasuries! It made me so proud :D... My Talented Mom

Gasp!! How could I have never posted about my mom's quilting skills before?? It seems impossible but don't worry I'll remedy that right away.... ;)

My mom is an amazing seamstress. She can sew up a quilt like no body's business and it is her that I always turn to when I have a question about sewing. She made this beautiful quilt shown above from material she bought at the International Quilt Festival in Houston this year. And yes that is her peeking out from the quilt in the top photo. She is rather silly isn't she? I am so proud to call her my mom. She is the person who taught me how to sew and so many other things in life. Love you mom!!
